The BANKSETA invites all Small and Micro Enterprises (with less than 50 employees) and Cooperative Financial Institutions planning to further the skills development of their employees to apply for funding through the SME / CFI Discretionary Grant Funding Window, 2024/2025.

The BANKSETA invites all registered, levy paying employers to apply for the Discretionary Grant Funding Window Special Projects for category 1 and 2.
The Discretionary Grant Funding Window Special Projects for Employed opens on 11 September 2024 and closes on 28 October 2024.
The closing date and time for all applications is 23:59 midnight on 28 October 2024.
Upon submission, please ensure to:
- Submit and record application for funding.
- Verify all documents to ensure it’s not duplicated or corrupt in any way.
- This needs to be duly completed in full.

The BANKSETA developed strategic projects as a mechanism to support skills development with the aim of addressing socio-economic challenges like poverty ,unemployment and inequality. The projects should reference key Government plans ,strategies and initiatives such as the Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan (ERRP) , Presidential Youth Employment Initiatives. The funding of applications under this category will focus on promoting innovation or creativity or immediate needs or national government priorities or a mix thereof and more importantly subject to budget availability. This approach is intended to allow for impact driven, creative and / or innovative or interventionist approach towards skills development.
The Strategic project funding window is open to the following stakeholders:
- Public Higher Educations Institutions and their entities (TVET Colleges and Universities
- Community Education and Training Colleges (CET)
- BANKSETA registered employers who actively contribute to the skills development levy and who submitted a Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report for 2023.2024 (if applicable).
- Registered NGO’s/CBO’s/NPO’s – to submit proof of registration as an NGO/CBO/NPO
- Government Entities (Departments, entities or Municipality)
- Private providers who can contribute to the strategic outcomes of the BANKSETA or National Priorities.

The BANKSETA invites all public Universities, Universities of Technology, Technical and Vocational Education and Training Colleges and Community of Education and Training Colleges to apply for the Skills Development Initiatives for Grade 12 funding.
The Skills Development Initiatives for Grade 12 funding window opens on 11 September 2024 and closes at 16h00 on 28 October 2024 at 16h30.
The applicant should complete the application form and application register in excel format and submit to grade12initiativesapplications@bankseta.org.zato confirm your submission and provide passwords to open documents where necessary.

The BANKSETA support the implementation of the District Development Model through funding support for programmes that focus on SMME development rural communities, youth development and those focusing on poverty eradication ,employment and equality. The rural development project is intended to increase employment and livelihood opportunities in rural areas and promote sustainable development practices for positive socio-economic impact in rural communities.
The funding window opens on 16 September 2024 and close at 16h00 on 1 November 2024
No late applications will be accepted.
Applications must be for the skills development support for rural development projects.
All documents must be completed in full.
All supporting documents must be provided.
